Ballet Idaho returns to the Morrison Center for an extraordinary winter repertory, Sinatra and More – a quadruple bill including Twyla Tharp’s Nine Sinatra Songs, and George Balanchine’s Vasle Fantaisie.

With a mix of ballet, modern dance, and ballroom, Nine Sinatra Songs makes its Idaho debut after being embraced by audiences worldwide. Rounding out this exciting production is Peter Anastos’ Ravel Piano Concerto and Alex Ossadnik’s Scheherazade. The 1930’s jazz-inspired Ravel Piano Concerto accompanies a fast-paced, witty and beautiful ballet – a sleek and elegant classic ballet full of energy and drive. Scheherazade, a seductive ballet of passion and thrills, completes the program and offers something for everyone.

Taste208 Goes The Distance For 5th Anniversary

Fri, Apr 22 // 06:00 pm to 09:00 pm

More info Less info

Marking the fifth anniversary of what has been a sold out and growing event every year, the Taste208 organizers had a few priorities.  First, keeping the events exclusive and contained in size for a better consumer experience.  Second, supporting the food and beverage community
in and around Boise as much as possible.  And third, continue to support important non-profit organizations and their work in the Treasure Valley.   The founders have a dedicated focus on keeping the event dynamic, exciting, innovative, and progressive.  To forge deeper community connections and for a permanent home, Taste208 moves the Grand Tasting event to Taste208 Sponsor, Payette Brewing’s NEW facility on River Street.  With Greenbelt access and ample parking, the Taste208 team feels this move supports the patron’s ability to connect with the
event even more.As the event grows,  the Taste208 team is looking at opportunities to expand and duplicate the event in surrounding the communities of Oregon, Utah and Washington.  As planning becomes solid and details are available, the Taste208 team will alert the community
with updates.  Work in progress and planning continue to be available in real time on their website and on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

A pairing experience, featuring food and drink bites from neighboring restaurants and a curated selection of supporting products with a total of 30 vendors.  Only 300 tickets available.
 $75 per ticket.

THRIVING IN 2016-Emotional Intelligence Seminar (Self Awareness)

Sun, May 01

More info Less info

In this class you will learn why it is important to come to an understanding of the self. Nothing in life can be fully satisfied until we know ourselves first. It's easy to loose ourselves in today's world which is growing more complex rapidly. This class opens onto a very empowering tool of self introspection. Self-awareness is the first domain of Emotional Intelligence and also the catalyst for understanding the remaining three; Self Management, Social Awareness, and Relationship Management.
Self Awareness Seminar is open to the public (parking in rear)
www.simpaticokjl.com/events - register seminar tickets online (only 20 seats per seminar)
