Serving Up Wishes is Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Idaho’s signature event. The event is a unique fundraiser that encompasses a special partnership with Boise State University Athletics. The two organizations work together to make wishes come true for Idaho children. Event night entails approximately 100 Boise State University student-athletes volunteering their time as they interact with the guests during a hosted social hour. The athletes form teams of six and represent every NCAA men’s and women’s sport. Each team is assigned a wish child. Throughout the night the student-athletes compete among themselves for tips, commonly known as “Wish Bucks” from the guests in an effort to raise the most money for their assigned child. Immediately following the social hour the guests enjoy a delectable dinner, a presentation from the featured wish child, and a live auction. The event is a high-energy packed night full of non-stop entertainment and fun.
This year’s event is scheduled for Monday, October 18, 2010. Space is limited and the event will sell out quick, so reserve your spot today! For ticket information or to register, please contact Michele Larson at 208-345-9474 or mlarson@idaho.wish.org.

Please join us for Boise's 2nd Walk for Food Allergy. Your participation in this fun filled, family oriented, FREE event will serve to make a difference in the lives of children and adults who have this medical condition. Please visit www.foodallergywalk.org to register and for more information.
* We walk to find a cure for food allergies.
* We walk to increase awareness of food allergy and the effect it has on a community.
* We walk to provide understanding, hope, and an opportunity for a child with food allergy to simply be a child.
* We walk to save a life!
More than 12 million Americans, or one in every 25, have food allergies. Included in that number are more than 3 million children. The incidence of peanut allergy doubled in children over a five-year period (1997-2002).
Over the years, FAAN has been at the forefront of progress in food allergy research. Findings from research studies have been used to change federal and state laws, improve school policies, raise public awareness, improve the daily lives of individuals with food allergy, and provide education for patients, caregivers, and health professionals.
