Experience the creativity of the company dancers as they express themselves as choreographers. An informal conversation through movement, thoughts and feelings, performers become creators. The development of new choreography is the life-blood of a ballet company. Ballet, unlike symphony or opera, depends on a constant infusion of new and original material to propel itself forward. Tradition in ballet is not static – it is the evolution of new material, new choreography, new ideas that shape a lively dialogue between choreographer, dancer and audience

"Six months out of every year, when we cook for them it never pays; Instead of praising our goulash, they're appraising the plays of Willie Mays!"...
So sings the wife of a1950’s baseball fanatic who trades his sole to the Devil for a chance to lead his favorite team in the pennant race against The New York Yankees. He leaves her and the goulash behind and as young baseball sensation, Joe Hardy, he transforms the hapless Washington Senators into a winning team, only to realize the true worth of the life (and wife) he's left at home. With the help of a handy escape clause and a guilt-ridden temptress named Lola, Joe outsmarts the Devil, returns to his former self and shepherds the Senators to the World Series . Filled with hit songs like “Whatever Lola Wants” and “You Gotta Have Heart”, DAMN YANKEES hit 7 Tony Award winning home runs!

RAIN, the acclaimed Beatles concert, returns by popular demand! They look like them and they sound just like them! “The next best thing to seeing The Beatles,” raves the Denver Post. All the music and vocals are performed totally live! RAIN covers The Beatles from the earliest beginnings through the psychedelic late 60s and their long-haired hippie, hard-rocking rooftop days. RAIN is a multi-media, multi-dimensional experience...a fusion of historical footage and hilarious television commercials from the 1960s lights up video screens and live cameras zoom in for close-ups. “A thrilling bit of time-warping nostalgia…Boomer Heaven!” raves The Fort Worth Star-Telegram. “Uncanny! RAIN are a quartet of fine musicians in their own right…as The Beatles, they triumph!” cheers the Boston Herald. “An adoring Valentine to The Beatles,” declares the Washington Post. Sing along with your family and friends to such favorites as “Let It Be,” “Hey Jude,” “While My Guitar Gently Weeps,” “Come Together” and “Can’t Buy Me Love,” and relive Beatlemania from Ed Sullivan to Abbey Road!

Don't miss the debut of the Broadway sensation War Horse, coming to the Morrison Center In Boise, June 7-9, 2012! Broadway In Boise is the official source of tickets to War Horse!
The National Theatre of Great Britain production of “War Horse” is the most anticipated drama to cross the Atlantic this season. Based on the much-loved novel by Michael Morpurgo, this magnificent piece of theatre will make its Boise premiere June 7-9, 2012.
“War Horse” premiered at the National Theatre in London in November 2007. It moved to London’s West End in March 2009 and continues to play there. “War Horse” is adapted by Nick Stafford, directed by Marianne Elliott and Tom Morris, and presented in association with Handspring Puppet Company.
Described as “…so exhilarating that it makes you rejoice to be alive… Its sheer skill and invention are simply awe-inspiring” by The Times of London, “War Horse” is a powerful and imaginative drama set at the outbreak of World War I in the English countryside and also the fields of battle in France and Germany.
“War Horse” tells the story of young Albert’s beloved horse, Joey, which has been sold to the cavalry and shipped to France. In a tale that the Sunday Express said is “…both epic and intimate,” and “absolutely guaranteed to move the heart,” Joey is caught in enemy crossfire and ends up serving both sides of the war before landing in no man’s land. Albert, not old enough to enlist, embarks on treacherous mission to find his horse and bring him home. What follows is a remarkable tale of courage, loyalty and friendship.
“War Horse” is filled with stirring music and songs, and at the heart of the show are life-sized puppets which bring breathing, galloping, charging horses to life on stage. “The puppetry is nothing short of miraculous,” according to The Times of London.

Relay For Life is a life-changing event that gives everyone in communities across the globe a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease.
At Relay, teams of people camp out at Bishop Kelly High School and take turns walking or running around a track or path. Because cancer never sleeps, our Relay is an overnight event. Relayers do not have to walk all night, but each team is asked to have a representative on the track at all times during the event.
Everyone's reason to Relay is as unique as their own personal story. At Relay, you can find healing, comfort, and support from others who have faced cancer or who have lost a loved one to the disease. You have a chance to meet people in the community who are equally as passionate about finding an end to cancer in our lifetime.
No matter why you take part in Relay, however, one thing is clear: with every step you take, you are helping the American Cancer Society save lives. With your help, we aren’t just fighting one type of cancer – we’re fighting for every birthday threatened by every cancer in every community. Each person who shares the Relay experience can take pride in knowing that they are working to create a world where this disease will no longer threaten the lives of our loved ones or claim another year of anyone’s life.

We are trying something new this year at BCT. In addition to the usual four full productions in our season we have expanded your opportunities for diverse and dynamic theater with two add-on productions. The first is a workshop production (think previews) of a new play written and performed by BCT associate artist Dwayne Blackaller. It’s the story of a man named Dexter whose life is about to change. When Dexter’s thumb goes numb, there’s only one person he can talk to: Chelsea, his dental hygienist, played by Elise Langer. Play your part in the development of a brand new play exploring symmetry, the complexities of identity, and the dividing line that runs through every human heart.

You and Fido will appreciate the challenging and scenic cross-country trails as you loop around beautiful Eagle Island State Park. Enjoy free treats before and after the race, plus meet new doggie friends, including adoptable pups who need forever homes.
Run Fido Run is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization comprised solely of volunteers with a mission to help local animals. Each year we organize a "dog jog", a 5K run/walk where people can bring their dogs and participate in a family friendly fun run. All proceeds raised from our events benefit humane organizations that help our furry friends, from canine to feline and even some in between, have a better life. For more details about the event go to www.runfidorun.org.
So put on your running shoes, grab your pup's leash, and come join the fun!
