The Idaho Statesman is reporting today that Meridian, Idaho-based Scentsy is hosting a National Direct Selling Association Meeting in Boise this week.
More than 100 members are in town for the meeting to discuss how to succeed in the face of economic or operational challenges.
The meeting is being held at the Grove Hotel.

The state's largest convention and meeting facility, the Boise Centre, is celebrating 20 years!
Opened in January 1990, the Boise Centre has worked with the Boise Convention and Visitors Bureau to help make visitor dollars one engine of economic growth in Downtown Boise.
Congratulations to the team at the Boise Centre.
If you are interested in helping them celebrate, stop by the Boise Centre Thursday, February 4 from 11am to 2pm for some cake and ice cream.

Soccer tournament a big score for Boise.

Youth soccer players from as far away as Hawaii will be in Boise June 19-26 2011 to participate in US Youth Soccer Far West Regional Championships. It's a big event that is expected to draw more than 10,000 visitors and inject $4 million into our local economy.
The week-long tournament is held at the Simplot Sports Complex in Southeast Boise. The winner of this regional tournament, which spans 13 western states, will advance to the national championships.
This will be the third time in three decades (and second time in five years) Boise was selected to host this prestigious event.
